Here we are back again working our way toward the birth of “Abby Sue, Where Are You?” Through a set of different circumstances, the Lord laid on my heart that being an educator was what he had planned for me next. It was not an easy or comfortable process, which I will explain later, but I did become a teacher.
Amazingly, at this point my path joined my fellow “rebel” from all those years before putting us in the same school doing what we both were determined not to do all those years before! There we were teaching side by side! Strange, right? Or maybe God’s plan all along. As I look back, I realize that He put me with her in order for me to endure a very rough time in my personal life. She provided the support, love, and humor every day that I needed for emotional survival at the time. No, this was no accident. It was definitely in God’s plan.
Turned out, I loved teaching! I came to it with all my experiences with troubled youth so I did not find very much shocking in the classroom. Once again God had prepared me for where he put me.
Next time we will have another history lesson as we continue this journey.
