So rather than being created in an early morning inspiration this one was quite different.
We went to a softball game on a hot July afternoon and the words to this book came spilling into my brain. So, as I sat there in the back of that truck and watched my granddaughter pitch her way to a victory against a much larger school’s team, I pulled out my IPhone and wrote “The I Did That Cat” in the notes of my phone.
After I later transferred it to a manuscript my first thought was what cute illustrations could be done with this one. So I immediately contacted my illustrator and offered him this book for a new project. We decided to simply put the other one on hold.
He eagerly accepted the new challenge and you can check out the result by looking for The I Did That Cat now available.
Once again, it is a small story with a big lessons. In “The I Did That Cat” there are two major lessons to learn. It teaches children both to tell the truth and to accept responsibility for their actions.
Next time we continue by talking about the third book written which actually will become the fourth book to be published. The next one is about kindness and the Golden Rule.
Biblical Inspiration: Numbers 32:23 – But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sins will find you out.
Biblical Inspiration: Ezekiel 18:20 – The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wicked shall be upon himself.
Biblical Inspiration: Galatians 6:7-8 – Do not be deceived. God cannot not be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction, whoever sows to please the spirit, from the spirit will reap eternal life.
Lesson in a Nutshell: Everyone makes mistakes. The only way to never make a mistake is to never do anything at all!
