As promised we will make a short digression here. After the release of my first book I had given a copy of it to a former student who was an art teacher at a school where one of my daughters worked and where my grandchildren had been and were. He had a young daughter and was moving away to take a job in a nearby town. I sent the book to him as a going away present to wish him luck and express my affection and appreciation.
My daughter brought me a thank you from him along with the message that if I ever wrote another book he would love to illustrate it. It seems that illustrating a book was a life goal for him! Unfortunately, at that time I had already contracted the second book. All that I could do was file that away for future reference along with the regret that I had not known it earlier.
Stay around and you will find out that once again, God had a plan!
Biblical Inspiration: Isaiah 26: 3-4 – You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever; He will always protect you.
Biblical Inspiration: Psalm 121:1-2 – I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills: from whence comes my help. My help cometh from the Lord: who hath made heaven and earth.
Lesson in a Nutshell: Sometimes life is all about monitoring and adjusting and when you get lemons you trust that the Lord will show you how to make lemonade.
